Yes, We Are Working On Matter

Yesterday, the Apple WWDC2022 conference updated iOS, iPad OS, MacOS and WatchOS, but for smart homes, Apple announced the launch of a cross-platform smart home unified platform, Matter, based on HomeKit.
Some fans have noticed that meross was also mentioned at the press conference. Thus, we are proud to announce that meross is working with leading technology companies including Apple, Google to create a new generation of smart home products.

What is Matter?

Matter is a smart home connectivity standard that enables a wide variety of smart home accessories to work together across platforms. So you can seamlessly control your Matter- and HomeKit-enabled accessories with the Home app and Siri. Matter gives you the most choice and compatibility for accessories in your home, all while maintaining the highest levels of security.
In May 2021, the CSA Alliance officially released the Matter standard, which is also the first time that Matter has appeared in the public eye. Google announced last year that the future Google Assistant, can control any Matter-certified device, and Apple also announced at WWDC last year that iOS will support the Matter standard, and users can manage Their devices through the Home App. Then this year's Google Developer Conference in 2022 and the Apple Software Developer Conference in 2022, the giant technology companies continued to mention Matter, which shows its importance.
However, Matter may not be officially released until this fall, 9 rounds of interoperability tests have been conducted between devices.

Where are we?

All of our product is already under development for matter, Our first products are expected to be released in Q4, starting with the hardware upgrades of the existing products. The new products will be compatible with Amazon Alexa, Google Assistant, Apple HomeKit and other smart home ecosystems supported matter.

The Matter standard is just the beginning, it provides the cornerstone for connecting smart home accessories, and meross will continue to provide consumers with safe and convenient smart home products.
