How to troubleshoot the MTS300 thermostat installation and setup?

Here are some common issues and solutions encountered during the installation and pairing process of the MTS300:

 

1. Thermostat has no power after installation.

   This is most likely due to incorrect wiring. Please turn off the circuit breaker, remove the product panel, and check the wiring. Ensure all wires are correctly and securely connected. The device will power on as long as the R and C wires are properly connected.

 

2. Unable to complete device setup in Meross app.

     a) Confirm your phone is connected to 2.4GHz WiFi and ensure there is a strong signal at the installation location.

   

     b) Verify that the thermostat's WiFi indicator light is blinking slowly at a rate of 0.5s on/0.5s off. If not, press and hold the up and down buttons for 5 seconds to reset the device.

   

     c) If pairing still fails, try restarting your phone, restarting WiFi, or using a different phone for pairing.

 

3. Meross app setup is successful, but unable to share through the linked service page.

   When you see the prompt shown in the image on the Linked Service page, it indicates that the product has not been successfully added to the Matter system. In this case, press and hold the up and down buttons for 5 seconds to reset the device, then add it again in the Meross app. The reconfiguration process is quick and simple - just follow the app's guidance which takes about two minutes to complete.
