Can Meross smart 3 way switch be used in a 4 way circuit system?

Yes. But you have to install Meross 3 way switch in certain electrical box of a 4 way circuit system (Non-dimmer). A 4 way circuit system contains two 3 way switches and a 4 way switch. You can replace either of the 3 way switches with it as picture below.

The light switch must be installed and used in accordance with the National Electric Code (NEC) or your local electrical code.
Do not install the wall switch with wet hands or standing on wet or damp surfaces.
