Why is the smart thermostat always unreachable in the app?

Please ensure that you install non-rechargeable 1.5V AA batteries in the smart thermostat. Batteries with a voltage of 1.2V AA or rechargeable batteries will NOT work. If the issue persists, please use the smartphone power adapter to power the hub, ensure the LED indicator is solid green, or factory reset the hub and try again to add the smart thermostat.
