What are the system requirements for the Matter device?

Please check the following basic requirements for using Matter equipment.

 

Network requirements:

1) Ensure your devices connect to a 2.4GHz Wi-Fi.

2) Ensure granting Bluetooth permission. The device supports BLE version 4.2 or later.

Apple has supported Matter since 16.1, but we recommend that you update to the latest system version, or at least use it with 16.2.

Nest Hub Max v8.20220713.2.194059, and v1.56.324896 for Nest Hub (1st gen), Nest Hub (2nd gen), Nest Mini, Nest Audio, Google Home, and Nest WiFi Pro v1.63.327820. We recommend that you update to the latest system version.

The first 17 Echo devices that work as Matter controllers include: Echo Dot (5th Gen), Echo Dot (5th Gen) with clock, Echo (4th Gen), Echo Dot (3rd Gen, 2018 release), Echo Studio, Echo Show 8 (2nd Gen, 2021 release), Echo Show 10 (3rd Gen), Echo Show 5 (2nd Gen, 2021 release), Echo Show 15, Echo Dot (Gen 3 with Clock), Echo Dot (Gen 4 with Clock), Echo Show 5, Echo (v3), Echo Dot Gen 4, Echo Input, Echo Flex and Echo Show 8. To ensure successful pairing when adding Matter-certified devices, it is recommended to prioritize Alexa as the primary Matter ecosystem.
